Amiantis
Morphology:
Species of the genus Amiantis typically have a deep pallial sinus that tapers to a point, as well as irregular, antimarginal pits on their nymphal ridges, resulting in a rugose texture. The lunule is typically spear-shaped and short, extending up to 1/3 of the anterior dorsal margin. The escutcheon is lightly raised and defined by a fine, shallow groove, and the ligament is long, extending up to 2/3 of the posterior dorsal margin.
